WOLLEREI NEWS : Yarn of the month in July/August: Elisa Merino
Looking for a replacement for Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine?
Non-felting, colorfast, easy care
The virgin wool for Elisa Merino comes from Argentina and Uruguay. The sheep have huge, open pastures with natural vegetation at their disposal. The flystrike disease is not widespread in South America, as the fly species that causes it is not native to the region. Mulesing is therefore 100% not practiced here.
Elisa Merino extrafine has a fiber thickness of only 19 microns, which makes it cuddly soft.
The virgin wool obtained in Argentina and Uruguay is sent to northern Italy for further processing. In a small town between Turin and Milan, the merino wool is spun into fashionably dyed balls.
The dyeing and processing process is carried out in accordance with the Oeko-Tex 100 Product Class 1 standard.
This makes Elisa Merino perfect for baby and children's garments.
Available in three classic lengths: 80, 120, and 175.
Our yarn of the month until the end of August and 10% off all 3 variants!
