Note:
Rowan Denim Cotton will shrink and fade when it is washed, just like a pair of jeans. The knitted pieces should be washed separately at a temperature of 60-70 degrees before sewing the garment together. They can then be tumble dried. Dye loss will be the greatest during the initial wash, however the appearance of the garment will be greatly enhanced with additional washing and wearing. When washed for the first time the garment will shrink up to 1/5th in length, however the width will remain the same.
If you are knitting Rowan pattern specially designed for Denim all the necessary adjustments have been made in the instructions.
